- I do believe that a very small number of 3GS are running too hot (overheating) but I don't believe it is a real problem. Anyone with a defective phone should bring the phone back to Apple and get it replaced. Wow, that was easy. It's unfortunate that a few of the new phones turned out to be lemons but that is out of millions of phones sold. Let's keep some perspective. The early blog posts (not necessarily on this site but on iphone and/or gadget blogs) were running alarming headlines based on the single white overheating iPhone. Seriously.

- RE: Light-years ahead? I don't think so. [Appletell]Ed says: "The fact that Apple can now afford to sell the iPhone 3G at $99 shows just how cheap the technology inside was to build. There’s nothing special there. I feel there are two things keeping Apple at the top: a certain logo stamped on the back, and 50,000 amazing applications for just about anything." What kind of nonsense is this? Nothing special there? Just about everyone agrees that the iPhone 3G is one of the best handsets on the market (if not the best) - doesn't that make it special? So, let me get this straight - Just a Logo and 50,000 Apps keeping Apple at the top. I guess the iPhone OS is worthless. Not to mention, the design - worthless. iTunes ecosystem - no value there. Huge Hardware compatibility - that couldn't be important. If Apple is doing such a bad job - who do you recommend we look at to see who's really bringing the A game and not just counting on a bunch of Logo worshipers to make sales???
- RE: Light-years ahead? I don't think so. [Appletell]You do know that the $99 iPhone is a subsidized price, right? AT&T is putting up hundreds of dollars to bring the selling price down to $99 (or $199 or $299).
- RE: MagSafe - design over safety? [Appletell]There is no question that this is important and if it is a problem then Apple should fix it. I am just always cautious of the "ZOMG - The sky is falling! RUN!" internet thing.
- RE: MagSafe - design over safety? [Appletell]What is the failure rate? Is the failure rate similar to other designs? I have a feeling the 'many stories' is a statistically insignificant number. I am not saying this isn't a serious issue to the unlucky owners of the laptops / failed laptops. I am just saying let's keep things in perspective.
- It seems I use my iPhone for everything. More power is a really good thing - pick me.
- iCardcounter, please? Thanks!
- What plugin is needed to view this page? Both Safari & Firefox (on Mac) can't display some media on the page. Any ideas?
- This game is really good. Easily worth the 2 bucks.
