Logitech intros its QuickCam Vision Pro webcam for Mac

by Arnold Zafra on Jun 24, 2008 at 05:27 AM

Logitech QuickCam Vision ProLogitech has just announced its first Mac-compatible webcam, the QuickCam Vision Pro. According to Logitech, this new webcam can deliver image-perfect detail and clarity as well as exceptional video calling through iChat and Skype. And with Carl Zeiss optics, which are usually found in digital cameras, the QuickCam Vision Pro may very well deliver what it promises to give.

The Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro touts a 2-megapixel sensor which allows users to capture video images in high-resolution. And with Logitech’s own RighLight 2 Technology, this webcam adjusts intelligently in dim or harshly backlighted situations. This webcam also promises to give users VGA-quality video at up to 30 fps when used during iChat or Skype sessions. Users can even capture video at a sharp 720p HD video format.

And, like most of Logitech’s products, the QuickCam Vision Pro is an easy-to-use, plug-and-play device which requires no additional software.

This webcam will be available sometime in July for $129.99. To fully complement the Mac’s stylish look and design, the QuickCam Vision Pro will be available in a black-and-silver model.

Futuristic iMac Concept

Nuno Teixeira has created a mock-up of what he thinks a Futuristic iMac may look like, complete with a large touch screen, 3G connectivity, a pop-out remote control and a built-in LCD projector. The wide screen allows browsing the net and your computer at a life like experience. The iView concept also features 2 webcams, on the front and back. None of these features are things we need, but all would be great. Overall, the future looks good for technology.
