Apple considering clamshell iPhone?
Not quite a clamshell, but a flip-phone. Apple submitted a patent application for something that looks like an iPhone with a flip-phone design and a “dual-sided trackpad device.” The design would have a touch screen on the top and bottom. Think of it as a RAZR, with a large touch screen on the top and bottom. The design would eliminate the need for those thick and bulky cases that make your iPhone and iPod Touch look ugly. Though patent submissions don’t always happen, this may be Apple’s jump to make a whole line or iPhones. iPhone… Mini, iPhone… Classic?
iJailBreak 0.6 Released: Support for all iPhones and iPod Touches
13 Year old developer AriX has just released version 0.6 of iJailbreak. This amazing and simple app automates the process of jailbreaking your iPhone or iPod Touch. iJailbreak is a free download and makes jailbreaking your iPhone and now iPod Touch as easy as clicking a few buttons. 0.6, the latest release of iJailbreak has full support for the 1.1.4 firmware and allows you to “freely enable the $20 iPhone apps.”
I talked to Ben Feldman, the co-developer last night and he told me that even though the iPhone SDK is out, he still recommends jailbreaking your phone. iJailbreak is a free download, however they will gladly accept donations.

Apple to jump into gaming market?
Several years ago Apple entered the Music market with the iPod and iTunes. Last year, Apple entered the Phone market with the iPhone. Ars Technica is reporting that Apple has applied for a trademark extension relating to gaming. Apple has attempted to enter this market with the Pippin and failed miserably. Many rumors have been floating around the web and here at Appletell of Apple to announce new products. Though previously failed, the same happened with the Newton, then came the iPhone and the computer, then when Steve Jobs returned to Apple, the Macintosh returned. Apple has also recently developed games for the iPods which can be bought from the iTunes Store.
The trademark filling seeks to extend the “APPLE”, trade to cover “Toys, games and playthings, namely, hand-held units for playing electronic games; hand-held units for playing video games; stand alone video game machines; electronic games other than those adapted for use with television receivers only; LCD game machines; electronic educational game machines; toys, namely battery-powered computer games.” With the Apple TV and the iTouch as a remote, Apple could create an amazing gaming machine/platform. Have they already and will we see it later this month? Or is this just another rumor?
