by Aaron Kraus on Jun 17, 2009 at 05:38 AM

There was an interesting article over at TG Daily recently, titled, “Browser wars: When will the madness end?” As you can likely guess from the title, the author assumes that the cage match currently underway between Safari, Google’s Chrome, Firefox, and IE is a bad thing. But aren’t we taught… Continue Reading »

by Jake Gaecke on Oct 23, 2008 at 07:06 PM

I love Firefox, but if there is one thing that could use some attention, it’s the search box. Sure, you can add a ton of different search engines to it, even custom add any one that you want, but it’s slow. First you have to open a new tab, then… Continue Reading »

by Michael Goonan on Jul 1, 2008 at 11:43 AM

Walt Mossberg, personal technology columnist for the Wall Street Journal, believes Firefox is the “new champ in the browser wars.” Is Walt right? If so, will this worthy effort from Mozilla be enough to drag the Apple purists away from Safari? From a Mac user’s perspective especially, Firefox 3 is… Continue Reading »

by Nicholas Montgomery on Jun 22, 2008 at 09:24 PM

Firefox 3 may have beaten Apple’s Safari in several tests, but Safari is still the best browser in the market at JavaScript. The current build of Webkit and Safari 3.1.1 are ahead of both Firefox… Continue Reading »

It seems Apple has decided to restrict access to its online storage component, iDisk, from certain browsers. iDisk, once supported by any browser, is now blocking access to the site unless the browser used to visit it is officially supported. Supported browsers include: Safari 1.3 or Firefox 1.0.4 (And later… Continue Reading »

by Mark Rowland on May 4, 2008 at 07:42 AM

Although Safari has a very measly presence in the PC world, those numbers are changing.  With Safari 3.0, Apple had a fairly constant .07% of the PC Internet Browser share.  With the recent automatic download of Safari 3.1 angering and alienating many of those PC users, it was fairly unknown… Continue Reading »
