Delicious Generation Party

by Greg Healy on Jan 16, 2008 at 09:25 PM

Delicious GenerationFor those of you who are lucky enough to be in the San Francisco area this evening, it’s time to get your party on! Phill Ryu and John Casasanta of MacHeist, and Austin Sarner of AppZapper, are once again hosting a Delicious Generation Party this evening. The party will be full of Mac developers, media, food and even beer. Here’s what the Delicious Generation website has to say about this year’s party:

Last year, we brought hundreds of users, developers, and members of the media together for an amazing night of food, beer, and software. We’ve decided to do it again this year… with a little more sizzle. Introducing the Delicious Generation bash 2.0 at Macworld. Our party is a great opportunity to meet your favorite Mac developer, and we’d like to extend a special invitation to the developers attending Macworld. Prepare for another night to remember - exclusively at Macworld 2008.

As of writing, some of the people who have RSVP’d on their site include Apple employees, Adobe employees, bloggers from TUAW, and the Pixelmatrix Design. The party is from 8:00pm-12:00am, and will be held at Elan (Google Maps link). Space is limited, and is largely focused at the press and developers attending Macworld 2008. Though if you have an interest in Mac software, and are in the area, I’m sure they would love to say hi.

Headline: Delicious RSS

by Greg Healy on Jun 12, 2007 at 03:00 PM

Lately I’ve been in the mood for things Delicious. With things such as iLikeOlives, and the WWDC Party (which the Headline developer will be attending), there is quite a bit going on in the “Delicious World” in the next few weeks. Though this teaser, not from the same people as the former events, is wetting my appetite even more. There hasn’t been much released about this app yet, but this post on the PixelMatrix blog gives us a bit more information:

I recently had the opportunity to design some slick new shirts for Doseido Software. Doseido is working on it’s first app, and they are determined to do it right! Their upcoming app, called Headline, is going to be a revolutionary delicious RSS reader. You can find out more by visiting their teaser page, and adding your email to the list. More information is on it’s way and i’m willing to bet we’ll see some more info in the next couple of weeks.

Lately I have been going from RSS reader to RSS reader, so maybe this will be the one that I can finally settle on. If you want to be notified when there is more information, enter your email address into the space provided on their website. If the Interface looks as good as the icon does and is still functional (though we won’t get into that debate here), this should end up being a great application.

Delicious Generation holding Delicious party.

by Greg Healy on Jun 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM

With WWDC kicked off and the stevenote over, there are many Mac Geeks gathering in San Francisco. Though many people will be spending their evenings checking out the city, there are also many that will be attending the biggest party of WWDC! The “Delicious Generation” will be holding a party on Wednesday, June 13th, from 8:00pm to 12:00am.

Once upon a time, a developer bestowed the name “Delicious Generation“ upon us because he saw us as creating all “sizzle, no steak“. We think this recent Wired article makes a good argument for what we’ve been doing. But honestly, all we want is for everyone to get along. So we’re throwing a party for developers at WWDC. And we think the party will have both style AND substance. Bring your cameras. It’s gonna be one helluva night.

There is a website set-up with directions and a place to RSVP. In order to attend you must RSVP to get your ticket (they will be checking at the door). With people attending from Apple, Macworld, and countless developers, this sounds like it will be one awesome party.

You won’t want to miss out on the biggest party of WWDC. Eat good food. Drink cold beer. Get a sweet Delicious Generation T-shirt. Chill with cool Mac devs. And see the next generation of Mac software.

That line from the website pretty well sums up the party will be like. It is definitely going to be a night you won’t want to miss if you are in the area. Space is limited as stated by Phill Ryu himself, so make sure you make your RSVP soon! If only I didn’t live on the complete opposite side of North America, I’d like to attend.
