Why wait for the new iPod nano when you can get a fake one?
Now this is a new idea. Instead of waiting for Apple to release a new iPod nano, some enterprising Chinese company already has a knock-off based upon the rumors of the nano redesign.
The pics of the fake look a lot like the supposed iPod nano 4G renders that were found on the internet. In fact, this device may be what was depicted in those renders since they didn’t have a dock connecter, but a standard USB type B port. So, I think it’s safe to say that particular rumor is dead, even though it is very similar to all of the other iPod nano rumblings.

You can tell that this is a fake since the middle button has a play sign on it, and the graphic on screen definitely isn’t from an Apple product. iPod knock-offs are never nearly as close to being as good or useful as the real deal. So, don’t buy this if you find it anywhere. I’m guessing it will show up on eBay before too long. I can already feel the pain of some kid who opens his birthday presents and finds one of these gems. I’m so sorry.
