Wednesday’s Apple event details surface

Apple iPod 6G Video Mock-up

More rumors are floating around for the apple event coming up on Wednesday, this time explaining the whole line of upgrade. Digi Times claims to have information from an insider in Taiwan. But, as with all rumors, take this with a grain of salt (or a heaping table spoon).

The new iPod video is said to be Widescreen (no duh), have WiFi connectivity and a UI similar to that of the iPhone. Now this doesn’t seem to far off, as these rumors have been floating around for months. The device is also said to be slimmer because it will be using flash memory as storage. I honestly can’t see this happening, as it will be very hard to get 80+ GB of storage and continue to keep the prices low.

The iPod nano and shuffle will be revamped with a storage boost, and apparently an iPhone-like UI for the nano. Though, I’m not sure how that’s going to work.

The prices are also apparently going to remain unchanged. We’ll have to wait and see how it pans out, only two more sleeps until the event. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be dreaming sweet iPod dreams.
