Use your iPhone to beat the police
Before we say anything, you should be aware that Appletell does not condone or encourage speeding or any other illegal actions involving cars in any way. That said, the NMobile application from Njection, which aims to notify users of speed traps, does look like a pretty nifty iPhone application. It was built to audibly notify drivers of speed traps, red light cameras, and speed detection devices based on Njection’s database, as well as submissions from other users. It uses a formula based on your speed and the time of the day.
This application will run you $9.99, but that is just a small price to pay compared to the speeding ticket you may get without it if you are one of those speedy drivers. The application supports both portrait and landscape mode, and suggests that you use the 3G iPhone due to it’s GPS capabilities (however, the first gen iPhone will work with it, it just won’t be as accurate). The Njection website also points out that there are many more features to come.

on November 14, 2008 at 01:05 AM - LINKCopycat of Trapster which is already on App Store (FREE!) with 100K iPhone users, has way more and better data, (plus supports lots of mobile devices and established for years)
on November 14, 2008 at 11:22 AM - LINKI have to second trapster. The app is free and works great on the iPhone 3G. Why pay for somthing when it is free.

on November 18, 2008 at 12:58 PM - LINKNjection rocks my socks i dont know where id be without it, highly recommended. I tried trapster but as you’d expect with free software it had massive flaws and very little support (the author sent me a VERY rude email when I asked for some help).
on January 12, 2009 at 09:31 AM - LINKYeah, didn’t like trapster either, and now I find out that they can sell my contact details to anyone. Gonna get spammed to oblivion now. Suppose that’s the prise I pay for using this “free” app.
on January 13, 2009 at 10:20 PM - LINKI don’t know what I’m saying, they won’t spam me, Trapser is actually pretty good.
on January 15, 2009 at 06:53 PM - LINKSorry ignore my last post, they just spammed me 100000
on January 15, 2009 at 07:01 PM - LINKNot to mention the fact that the Trapster guy has been belittling the guy who made Njection.
