Iconfactory preps Twitteriffic for the App Store

by Josh Holat on Jun 10, 2008 at 05:34 PM

Twitterific on the AppStoreThe makers of the popular Mac OS X desktop Twitter client Twitterific not only have an application for the iPhone/iPod Touch AppStore, but they are also featured on Apple’s site for the AppStore page. What do they have to say about this and what does it mean? According to their blog, “We’ve been making various software applications for a decade now, and in all that time, none of us would have expected such an unassuming little app to become our most well recognized piece of code.”

As for being on the AppStore, they have this to say; “We’re looking forward to bringing the application to a whole new generation of users for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and would like to extend our thanks to Apple for giving the blue bird such a fine new home.” This is just one story of the many that shows the power of the SDK. Developers are able to expand their products upon another great Apple platform and allow thousands of more users to access the applications they make. It’s amazing what opening up a platform a little bit more can do. Keep it up, Apple.
