Infusions of Grandeur has announced Giftory 3.0, an update to their gift buying and tracking utility for Mac OS X. This handy little Macintosh program helps you keep track of gift giving and receiving for multiple people, on multiple occasions, over a period of years. And, of course, it will soon offer iPhone integration (pending Apple approval) so you can stay on top of your list while out in the crowds on Black Friday.
An excellent idea for parents managing the shopping lists of their children, or for those attending many parties and gift exchanges amongst friends, Giftory allows you to set up a group of people and create lists of gifts exchanged between them, as well as sort and prioritize the gifts in a variety of ways. You can keep track of all sorts of gift exchanges, and, perhaps more importantly, plan and budget for gifts that have yet to be purchased.
Of course, Giftory isn’t relegated to just Christmas. Users may easily set budgets for different occasions (such as that inevitable month where it seems you’re attending more niece/nephew birthday parties than you have nieces and nephews) as well as set spending limits for individual people. Giftory will faithfully maintain each gift’s associations and information, such as where it was purchased, how much it cost and where it is hidden. This feature makes Giftory particularly suited for those looking to get all of their shopping done by Black Friday.
Version 3.0 offers a number of new and/or enhanced features, including:
Giftory integrated nicely with a few online retailersYahoo Shopping, eBay and Amazonso users may search for gifts and initiate purchases directly from the application. You can also Giftory to create wish lists that can be published to your computer or to a MobileMe (.Mac) account. A free iPhone app is available, pending release on the iTunes App Store, that lets any iPhone user view the wish list of any Giftory user who has published their wish list to their MobileMe (.Mac) account.
Another thing to consider is that Giftory could make a good early gift for your grandparents or other relatives and friends who have to manage a large shopping list each year. Give it to them on Thanksgiving, and they’re set for the rest of the season.
Minimum Requirements:
Giftory 3.0 is immediately available for only $19.95 (USD). Except for saving files, Giftory works as an unrestricted demo until such time as it is unlocked with a purchased registration code.
