Think you’ve got a good computer set-up? Think again.

The folks over at Ahoys (custom made for office distraction) have put together an article called “7 Seriously Enviable Office Desk Setups.” I’m satisfied with my iMac at work and the MacBook at home, but have secretly dreamed of a set-up like a Geoff Downes keyboard arrangement at an Asia concert. Those covered at Ahoys don’t quite reach that level, but they truly are enviable (well, those that feature Macs, anyway).
With titles such as “Insanely Geeky Mac Setup,” “Pro Photographers Dream Setup” and “Minimalist Desk Perfection,” the author’s articles do a good job of not only considering the hardware, but also how the hardware is arranged. Of the set-up in the image above, they say:
If you died and went to Apple heaven, it would look very much like this, only without the female anime figurines cluttering the place. This office setup is equipped with all the latest Apple paraphernalia, including two iMacs, two MacBook Pros, a Power Mac G5, a Mac mini and an iPod touch, used as a desk clock.
I’d say it’s the iPod touch-as-clock that cinches the deal. Although, if I had the kind of cash to afford that kind of Apple hardware, I wouldn’t be spending my days in front of that kind of Apple hardware.

Well I only see 1 iMac and one LCD that could be hooked up to either a mini or G5 tower…but
my set up is…including all that is on my “L” shaped glass desk
far left Lexmark laser printer, then HP All-In-One Scanner/Copier/Printer 1500 series, iBook G4 14” (in-front of HP printer sometimes on top of it), 23” HD Cinema Display on the curve of desk (that is connected to my G4 Cube, underneath), then my Macbook 1,1, and rounding out the set up is my iMac G4 that houses my external hard drives that have my music, movies and tv shows that are streamed to my multiple TV’s…so I got a sweet set up…but I want to get to the point where I can update all that I have to newer versions…but I am very dear to my iBook because it was my first Mac and is how I fell in love with Apple and it’s amazing products
looking forward to seeing what others have as their set up…
you should have a page for commenters to send in pics of their setups for others to see
granted I pull my Macbook from the setup and have it on one of those trays that can be pulled up to my bed a lot of the time
great little piece…thanks for the fun article
