Things are starting to add up with new Mac part numbers

by Jake Gaecke on Sep 24, 2008 at 07:30 PM

MacBook SKUsMacRumors is adding to the rumors of new Macs with a report about six new placeholder SKUs in the inventory system of Future Shop.

Placeholder SKUs are a common practice in the inventory systems of retailers across the board. You might remember that Best Buy had a similar set of new SKUs three weeks prior to the release of the last update of MacBook Pros. That’s not to say this rumor is necessarily true, but Future Shop is a subsidiary of Best Buy in Canada. So, there’s a possibility.

All of these rumors should be adding up to something. Will these be MacBook Touches, Mac Bricks, Mac Mini Pros? No one really knows, and we can’t say for sure, but October 14th seems as good of a day as any other to hope to find out.
