The paranormal world favors the Mac

If there’s one area of expertise about which I know nothing, it’s the world paranormal activity. We’ve all seen the video clips and, at some point, have wondered about their credibility. Whether you’re a believer or not, the following continues. Can you guess what technology such enthusiasts tend to use for their paranormal work? Yes, it’s the good ol’ Macintosh.

Over at Paranormal Daily News, there’s an article on why the Mac is the superior platform when it comes to working with a high quantity of footage looking for those few ghostly seconds to share with the world. According to the article, it’s really nothing more than a MacBook and the iLife suite. Well, it’s all in there really. iMovie imports the footage and allows them to edit it down and add effects and such. iDVD allows the media to be enjoyed through a physical medium, while iWeb gives a virtual creative outlet to share the goods.

The article shares fives reasons why the Macintosh takes the lead role, ranging from the brilliant customer service to the fact that the article’s author’s two-year old MacBook Pro is still better than your (being, well, us) brand new PC. That in itself is an interesting statement that may have some truth, but it still doesn’t take long for a Mac to be a little behind with its technology.

Anyway, I don’t want to spoil your fun. If this is your cup of tea, head over to Paranormal Daily News and check out the article in all its glory. Careful though…who knows what else you might find.
