Spore Creature Creator a huge hit

Spore Creature CreatorSpore Creature Creator, a game that showcases the awesome creature creating ability that will be in Will Wright’s upcoming Spore game, has turned out to be a huge hit among Apple fans and others alike. Need proof? If the 250,000 creatures that were created within the first 48 hours of the games launch aren’t enough, then you might be surprised to find that the game is also featured on Apple.com. Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of Spore, said, “The response to the Spore Creature Creator has been overwhelming.”

The game itself is $9.95, but there is a demo available if you want to try it out first.  The game allows you to:

  • Build using 228 drag-and-drop, flexible parts.
  • Paint with unique patterns so your creature stands out in a crowd.
  • Share using built-in snapshot and video tools to make your creature a star.

There is a lot of hype revolving around this game, especially after it was demoed at the first iPhone SDK keynote. It looks like it’s going to sell extremely well.
