Software UpdatesSoftware updates and announcements for July 9, 2008:

  • Robosoft Technologies, a leading Mac development house, will showcase their Casual Game development services for Mac and iPhone at Casual Connect, Seattle from 23rd to 25th July. Casual Connect is premiere event for the Casual Games industry with over 3,000 professionals attending Casual Connect Events each year. It brings together the most talented and knowledgeable experts in the Casual gaming field to further the Casual Games industry. And believe me, the gang over at Robosoft is talented.
  • Fat Cat Software, maker of iPhoto Library Manager, today announced the release of PowerTunes 1.0, a new program that allows iTunes users to create multiple libraries, organize their music among multiple music folders, share music and libraries between multiple users on a machine, and much more.
  • XChange International, the source for extended technology worldwide are pleased to announce the release of ArabicXT for QuarkXPress v7.x. ArabicXT is now multilingual and allows users to publish in Arabic, Jawi, Farsi, Kurdish and HXT and to create outstanding designs for both print and electronic media. ArabicXT supports all types of fonts, so users can download any font (Arabic, Jawi, Farsi, Kurdish and HXT) from any website for use within the XTension.
  • MacGPS Pro 8.0 is the latest version of the Mac program for communicating with Garmin and Magellan GPS receivers. It allows users to import background maps from a wide variety of sources and shows the user’s current location, velocity, GPS Waypoints, Routes and Tracks. This update introduces a new interface with an iTunes-like main window, which allows the user to custom-utilize GPS data in a sortable, re-sizeable and movable columnar format.
