Rumor alert - (Red) iPhone for the holidays?
Apple’s iPod nano and shuffle have gone the way of (Product) RED, and rumor has it that the iPhone is to do the same later this year. This may all be wild speculation, but with companies striving to show their humanitarian side, anything is possible. A (Product) RED device is coated red, and sells at a 10 dollar (or so) premium. That extra money is donated to a charitable cause (the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa), something a lot of people would look to do during the holiday season.
A red iPhone would also add a little push to the brand at a time after the extreme interest dies down.
