Quicksilver to go open source and Leopard only

by Alec Feld on Aug 11, 2007 at 06:11 PM

QuicksilverWith the release of Leopard, Alcor, developer at Blacktree and the developer of Quicksilver, is planning to turn the app Leopard only, and what’s even more exciting, open source. The launcher/iTunes controller/crazy app that does everything will have it’s source openly available for all to edit, change, and improve to make Quicksilver even better (if that’s even possible). This also means that there will be quicker bug fixes, which means Quicksilver will be way more stable then it currently is. Quicksilver is currently available as a beta, and can be downloaded here.
