Pure Networks launches ‘Network Magic for Mac’

by Chris Marshall on Sep 1, 2007 at 01:00 PM

Taks

To show my age , “in my day” networks were somewhat mythical things, that only large companies used, and the techies that ran them were somewhat god like (in their own minds anyway). 20 years on and it seems that every small office and a significant number of homes have them. Heck I even have on myself.

That is why I was interested to see that Pure Networks has announced Network Magic for Mac “to offer new capability for households and small businesses that use both PC and Mac computers on their home or small office networks”. That’s me, Mac’s and Windows PC on the same network! The attraction of Network Magic?

The new add-on makes it easy to view all networked computers from one of your PCs, and makes tasks such as sharing files simply work.

“More and more people have both Macs and PCs in their homes or small offices, and they want to be able to easily access files from any computer on their home network,” said Jeff Erwin, Pure Networks CEO. “With Network Magic for Mac, file sharing just works.”
