PriceGrabber study: 42% are interested in buying an iPhone

by Arnold Zafra on Jun 20, 2008 at 08:41 AM

PriceGrabber iPhone surveyHere’s another one of “them surveys” on consumers’ perception of the iPhone. PriceGrabber surveyed around 3,066 consumers online, asking if they are interested in buying an iPhone . The results showed that 42% of those surveyed are keen.

The suvey, which was conducted between May 20th and June 5th, also revealed that of the 54% surveyed who are not interested in buying the iPhone, 41% of them reasoned out that it was too expensive, 22% didn’t want to subscribe to AT&T, and the remaining 4% already have an iPhone.

If you’re wondering why the majority of respondents say they will not buy the iPhone because it is too expensive, that is due to the fact that the survey was conducted before the announcement of the new iPhone price. Perhaps PriceGrabber might want to redo their suvery to see if this trend will change given the fact that the new iPhone will be much cheaper.

Those surveyed also view the iPhone’s finger navigation as its best feature, while web browsing and built-in applications immediately follow in importanc. The least favorite feature of the iPhone, ironically, is its music and video playback.
