Pandora 2.0 released to iPhone and iPod Touch
Pandora, one of the most popular online streaming music sites around, is also well known for their killer iPhone app. This iPhone app, which has previously allowed users to stream music over EDGE, 3G, and Wifi, has recently been updated to version 2.0 and brings a host of new features. Two of these most prominent updates add features to the app that make the music browsing experience more like that off the actual iPhone iPod application. For example, double tapping the album cover will now cause it to flip around and show the artist’s bio and song information. Furthermore, tilting the iPhone sideways will bring up a coverflow view that gives access to recently played songs.
These aren’t the only improvements the Pandora iPhone team has brought to the software, though. On top of those, the bookmark feature now allows users to get 30 second playback previews. And last but not least are the sharing features that have been polished. It is now easier to create playlists from songs as well as actual emails to recommend songs for your friends. If you haven’t used the app or service before, I strongly recommend it. Head over now and get it for free on iTunes.
