It seems that iPhone 2.1 still has more secrets to spill. We’ve heard of the new GPS features, and even a faint whispering of copy and paste functionality, but MacRumors is reporting more.
Buried deep inside of the latest beta, references to new iPod Touch can be found. The article says that “iPod1,1” is the model designation for any current iPod Touch. But the beta firmware references an “iPod 2,1.” Model designations are not tied to storage capacity, so this implies that new features may be in store for the iPod Touch in the not too distant future.
I really have no idea what is coming in the next iPod Touch. A camera? A mic? GPS? ...3G? Just kidding. There have been rumors of a case design for the future iPod Nano casing to be able to change colors on command. Maybe it’s possible that will make its way on to the next iPod Touch as well. Who knows?
So what’s missing in the current iPod Touch? Leave a comment and tell us what you would like to see.
