Our new podcast: Meet...
We know. Podcasts are so last year - but this one you won't want to miss. Whether it’s a rumor that won’t die, a new product announcement, or just a really good Macintosh or iPhone app find that we have to let you know about, we’ll make sure it’s covered on Appletellcast.
iPhone App Reviews
iPhone Apps. They were great when the App Store was first announced and we could all pick and chose what we wanted, but the number is now overwhelming. Here at Appletell, we'll detail the great iPhone apps we find, and steer you clear from those that aren't worth it even if they're free.
iPhone Game Reviews
As Apple turns the iPhone into one of the most popular gaming devices, the staff of Appletell--gamers and Apple fans alike--are here to help you get the most entertainment value out of your app store purchases.

Market Symposiums are full day sessions targeting specific verticals and/or job functions. All of the following classes are a full day long and are offered on January 9th.
The first offering is called Educator Academy. The day will be spent with a focus on teachers and the technology they use to educate our children. I am not a teacher, but I do know a couple of them, and they tell me they need to stay on top of the technologies that children and teen agers are using to stay up to date. They are still using VCRs and the like in schools today, but that is rapidly changing to a digital world. This symposium should help.
The second day long symposium is the Podcasters day. The speaker is Alex Lindsay who is the CFO of Pixel Corps. He will cover all aspects of podcasting to include all parts of production and distribution. In an ever-changing digital world, podcasting is becoming more and more popular. To me podcasting is kind of a combination of media. It can be a live audio blog, it can be a daily or weekly news report. They can even be special events with famous personalities. Podcasting is becoming more mainstream everyday, and it might be a good idea to know how to do it. Here is your chance.
Also offered on the 9th of January is a venerable who’s who in MacWorld journalism. It is called MacWorld PULSE. Looking at the speakers list for this symposium I have to say it is quite impressive. People such as Jason Snell who is the fellow in charge over at MacWorld, and Chris Pirillo, who has made a name for himself. A lot of people like to hear his opinion on things (myself included). Basically this symposium is going to feature some of the best minds in the Mac community getting together and talking about the state of all things Mac/Apple. My guess is a lot of the discussion will revolve around the announcements made at the keynote on the 5th.
The final symposium available for the 9th is called “New Media Artists.” NIck Floro, who is the CEO of Sealworks Interactive Studios, will the speaker. He will be talking about such things as web “2.0” (I don’t really buy into the whole 2.0 thing). He will also talk about modern media customers and trying to give them the best media product possible. Also being covered will be QuickTime, MPEG 4 and Flash Video. This looks to be quite an extensive discussion, so if you are into media and the Mac, it might be a good place for you to hang out on the 9th/
Well there you have it. All 4 symposiums in a nut shell. Personally I would like to sit it on the MacWorld PULSE, but alas I am stuck here in Pennsylvania in the freezing cold. If any of you get a chance to check any of these out, let us know the skinny on them.
