Macintosh

  • Calf Trail Software today released Geotagalog 1.4, their innovative tracklog based geotagging utility for Mac OS X. Geotagalog enables precise iPhoto Places support with any digital camera. It automatically combines digital photos with location data from a GPS tracklog. Version 1.4 brings significant performance improvements and better control over which files are imported into iPhoto.
  • Arten Science has announced that ooSooM is now available for free of charge for Mac OS X and Windows. ooSooM is a Todo Management and Secure Digital Filing System. The idea behind ooSooM is simple. ooSooM does not attempt to force a predetermined methodology. It features a very free and open format allowing you to use it however you like, but with enough structure to ensure that once logged, information can retrieved easily and readily.
  • Independent author Andrei Doubrovski has announced Elements+ 1.0, his new enhancement patch for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8. Elements+ is a handy add-on that unlocks the undocumented advanced functions in Photoshop Elements featured in the latest versions of Photoshop. The unleashed features can be accessed via dedicated dialog boxes. The kit includes smart filters, vector masks, and many more advanced tools normally hidden under the hood.
  • MacFriendly has released their new MacFriendly Bundle of 12 applications for Mac users. The Bundle represents a savings of over 85% off the list prices. iPhone/iPod

  • Appnoose Ltd has released ITGO, Interval Trainer GO 1.1, an update to their dedicated interval signaling application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Version 1.1 features a flip function on the ratio setting as requested by some customers. This new feature enables additional workout timings for greater flexibility while performing workouts. ITGO was specifically designed to offer advanced user controlled signaling while playing user-defined fast/slow interval song playlists.
  • 99Games has announced the release of its brand new game, Fish Fun, for the iPhone. Fish Fun is an exciting game where the motive is to keep your fish alive by avoiding bigger fish and making your fish grow by eating smaller fish. The player must go through 30 levels, unlocking other characters and gaining power-ups along the way. The game can be played in accelerometer or hot corner mode. It includes three fascinating Mini Games in addition to the main game play for short bursts of play.
  • Tunewear has announced today it is now shipping VisualDock, an AV docking station with remote control for iPhone and iPod. Complete with S-video and line outputs, easily set up and enjoy movies, photos and music stored in your iPhone or iPod by simply connecting VisualDock to a television or stereo.
  • BeBop Games has announced the first person to solve their What is this App? game for iPhone and iPod touch. As its name suggests, the puzzle challenges users to figure out its identity. Meredith Kenaston became the first person to solve What is this App?, solved 29 days after its release. The puzzle tests trivia, logic, math, and lateral thinking skills as well as the user’s common sense.
  • Blue Lightning Labs has announced a sale on their popular iPhone application Mathemagics, an application for learning to mentally calculate math problems at phenomenal speeds. For a limited time Mathemagics is on sale at more than 60% off. Mathemagics 1.1 contains 20 different math tricks for multiplying, dividing and squaring numbers faster than many people can use a calculator.
  • Alta Vida LLC has announced a sale on Babelingo, their language translation utility for iPhone and iPod Touch. For a limited time the app is on sale at more than 70% off. Containing 11 languages, with 110 unique language combinations, Babelingo is an easy-to-use phrase book communicator, allowing anyone to show a professionally translated phrase to a foreign language audience.   • GameFly, the number one video game rental service, has announced the launch of its GameCenter App on the App Store.
