Macintosh

  • PlumChoice has announced an expansion of its 24x7 premium technical support offerings with a series of new services for the Macintosh platform. Service providers, OEMs and retailers can partner with PlumChoice to provide Mac-related premium technical service on a white label basis, providing round-the-clock remote support on demand for Mac owners who otherwise must make in-home, in-office or in-store appointments with associated technology issues.
  • KennettNet Software has introduced Clarus 1.0, their new pet management solution for Mac OS X. Perfect for maintaining insurance documents, medical records, vet bills, and expense receipts, Clarus was specifically designed to manage a pet’s life and paperwork, all in one convenient, easy-to-use utility. And if Spot just happens to go missing, printing a bold missing poster that includes his photo and basic details with reward only takes seconds.
  • app4mac today released Jump 1.1 and Presto 1.1, two amazing utilities designed for Mac OS X. Jump allows you a quick access to your Applications, Documents and Folders. Presto allows you to quickly enter frequently used phrases. Jump can be used in conjunction with the Apple Dock or as its replacement. With Presto, you will be able to quickly insert standard greetings, signatures (including formatted text) or phrases into any application.

iPhone/iPod

  • Innovative Language Learning Company has announced the launch of Chineseclass101.com, an online learning system that combines audio and video Podcasts, mobile apps, digital tools and more, and turns 5000 years of Chinese language into an interactive experience on PC, iPod, mobile and social networks. Raising the bar and creating something special in Podcasting and software applications is nothing new for a company which currently has over 60 million (Nielsen reported) downloads of its different educational Podcasts and iPhone apps, and has been in several of the top ten spots in the iTunes Top 100 Downloads charts for the past 3 years.
  • RadTech’s Bezel Blaster allows you to expertly remove the surface abrasions, scratching and spotting which tends to occur on highly polished bright and plated metal panels. Products like the Apple iPhone, Sony PSP, watches, jewelry, etc. can all benefit from the ease of use and power of Bezel Blaster.
  • VolnaTech has released NimbleKit SDK, an update to their software development kit for the iPhone platform. NimbleKit allows to develop iPhone applications much quicker using just HTML and Javascript. You have good ideas for iPhone software but you don’t know Objective-C? No need to spend time learning how to use complicated tools, just start development from a template. NimbleKit is well documented and sample code is available.
  • appsNminded have teamed up with Eric Herman to bring his runaway success YouTube video to the iTunes Store. Elephant Song, the kid-friendly custom app was launched on iTunes to the same overwhelming response. The Elephant Song passed the 5 Million mark on YouTube, as children and adults alike made this one of the sites most popular and highest rated videos.
  • Scosche Industries has announced its new tapSTICK high impact polycarbonate case, which ads full control for the iPod shuffle (Gen 3). The “Made for iPod” tapSTICK allows shuffle users to control play, pause, adjust volume, skip tracks and navigate playlists using the shuffle’s VoiceOver feature. The tapSTICK will be available in both white and black and ships with a 3 foot long audio cable ($14.99 value) for connecting it to most stereo systems.
  • Appular has announced they will be working with Emmy award-winning comedy writer and television producer Fred Graver to help launch the first comedy brand exclusively for the iPhone, iLarious. iLarious promises to bring an unmatched level of comedic talent and content to the iPhone. The writers and creators of iLarious’ upcoming apps come from places as varied as The Onion, The Simpsons, Conan, Letterman, Comedy Central, The New Yorker, VH1, MTV, and CollegeHumor.com.
  • Mobila Interactive has announced completion of its efforts for porting the PC classic title Tyrian to iPhone OS and submission of the application to Apple App Store. This release is an iPhone OS port of Tyrian, an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter which was originally developed by Eclipse Productions and published by Epic MegaGames on the PC platform in 1995.
