Macintosh

  • Callpod has launched Keeper Desktop, its first software application for desktop and laptop computers. The launch of Keeper Desktop marks Callpod’s official entry into the software arena to complement its arsenal of award-winning mobile electronics products including the original Chargepod, a mutli-device charger, and the Fueltank, a mobile on-the-go charger, to name a few.
  • Wondershare Software has upgraded Wondershare DVD Copy for Mac. The new version brings an updated interface with the simpler but more practical functions.
  • bambooapps has announced the update of Keep Your Word for Mac OS X Leopard. Keep Your Word is a vocabulary and flashcards cataloger and trainer for Mac and iPhone. It lets you build your own dictionary, classifying and grouping the terms exactly how you want to. Version 1.5.2 brings many new features, like a printable bingo game, multiline flashcards, new grouping and classification options or a more flexible layout.
  • vuulu is a new online bidding website that allows it’s members to bid on products for very low cost. Brand-new Apple products such as iPods, Macbooks, etc, computers, TVs, among other products can be purchased for less than 20% the retail price. Bids cost 75 cents each and are sold in packs of 10, 30, 50, 60, 80, 100, or 500. Bidders have the choice of placing single bids, or you can use an electronic bid assistant.
  • MacEase Software has announced the release of the first bundle on TheMacBundles.com. MacEase Software and Kagi have worked together to create TheMacBundles.com, a new website that brings unprecedented value to consumers while also providing developers with an exceptionally high percentage of the revenue produced by the sale of their software.
  • Tellini has announced the release of 3Doku 1.4 for Mac OS X. 3Doku brings the traditional Sudoku game to the third dimension. In a cube, 27 Sudoku schemas intersect one another along the three axis. Are you ready to accept this challenge? With 4 difficulty levels and 4 initial values distributions you can customize your game and have every time a new exciting challenge to solve.

iPhone/iPod

  • Energizer Battery, Inc. and TennRich International Corporation/XPAL Power today announced that they will partner to develop a line of Energizer Energi To Go branded lithium polymer rechargeable power packs and emergency charger products and services for all types of mobile electronic devices. The rechargeable power packs are an extension of the existing Energizer Energi To Go line of instant cell phone chargers that use two Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries.
  • Daily Tracker is a new iPhone application that allows users to conveniently track almost anything. Most people immediately realize the obvious things they can track to improve their lives, for instance, calories, workout routines, sleep, mood and so forth. However, there are so many other less than obvious but equally (if not more) important things we could all track to reduce our impact on the environment.
  • Hexage’s first game, Buka, was released on the Android platform where it received numerous awards, including gold award from PocketGamer. Currently it is among top ten paid games for Android and it is featured by Google staff on Android Market. And now, Hexage has just released Buka for iPhone.
  • Ivan Cascales has released iDonutConnect 1.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch. iDonutConnect is a simple iphone and iPod puzzle game, but it’s 100% addictive. You must connect the iDonuts of the same type in groups of 2 or 3 depending on the level prompted using only horizontal or vertical lines to make them disappear. iDonutConnect features over 460 levels spread over 4 packs with increasing difficulty levels to suit the user. Plus some surprises that will be unveiled under passed levels.
  • Flex your brain muscles with Mind Games 2, a challenging test of IQ games and puzzles for iPhone and iPod touch. Take on over 20 different brain benders that test your perception, memory, and auditory skills. Challenging or frustrating? You decide as you prove your mental prowess.
  • Los Angeles based 24x7digital has introduced TeachMe: Toddler 1.0, their new children’s learning game for iPhone and iPod Touch. Developed to leverage the iPhone’s unique capabilities and interface, TeachMe: Toddler was specifically designed for toddler aged children to help teach them letters, numbers, shapes and colors in a fun and compelling way. TeachMe: Toddler is age-specific, and spans only those relevant topics, yet focused on learning while toddlers are being entertained.
  • Audrey Charm has introduced Swarovski decor frames for the iPhone 3G, iPod touch (2nd Generation), and iPod nano (4th Generation). All Swarovski cases are hand made with 100% genuine Swarovski crystals. Constructed from silver, gold, or chromium plated metal, each frame features protective neoprene inner lining, cutouts for access to all ports and controls, holes for attaching a lanyard or decorative charm, and either pink, clear, or black Swarovski crystals on the front.
  • Belkin’s new TuneBase FM and TuneBase Direct allow you to pick up a call on your iPhone while in the car, hands-free. The thoughtful design of these two products lets you use them without removing your iPhone or iPod from its case. The TuneBase cradle easily repositions your iPhone horizontally to view turn-by-turn directions and videos.
  • EDUmobile has launched an iPhone Development Online Course that teaches candidates via Online Video, PDF Documents, One-on-One sessions and Weekly Worksheets. EDUmobile launched its iPhone Online Course to meet the shortage of information resources and training. For those who do not have access to one, there is also an option to access a remote Mac. Candidates earn certification on completion and an option to co-publish their first app on the App Store and keep 80% of the revenues.
  • Following hot on the heels of the launch of Truphone 3.0 for the Apple iPhone, Truphone today launched Truphone 3.0, a major new upgrade to its mobile VoIP application for the Apple iPod touch. The new version dramatically builds upon the success of previous versions of the VoIP application for the iPod, enhancing users’ instant messaging and account management experience, making it faster than ever before, and delivering a new standard for call quality.
  • Second Gear has announced the immediate availability of its newest software release, Emergency Information 1.0. Available exclusively for the iPhone and iPod touch, Emergency Information lets you keep your pertinent emergency health and contact information quickly accessible via a gorgeous user interface. Emergency Information puts each piece of information at your fingertips, or more importantly the person needing quick access to that information about you.
  • Postino, from AnguriaLab LLC, lets you send physical postcards to your friends and family: postcards are printed on high-quality paper, and are sent worldwide for a flat price ($1.99 for a single “virtual stamp”, but you can get up to a 20% of discount for multi-stamps packs). The app itself is instead free right now, but it will be priced at $0.99 soon.
  • Ultrasone Inc., distributor for German headphone manufacturer Ultrasone AG, has introduced a new portable headphone called Zino. Designed for use with iPods, MP3 players and other portable music players, Ultrasone’s Zino features the company’s patented S-Logic and ULE safe listening technologies in an ultra-mobile design.
  • Skyworks has released Crime Spree for iPhone and iPod touch. In Crime Spree you’re in charge of driving the getaway car and collecting cash while attempting to outrun the police, who are in hot pursuit! You race through the city as fast as you can and find the lost loot that has been left in various locations. Since the cops are on your tail, you have handy items at your disposal to keep them at bay, including oil cans and other fun things.
