Macintosh

  • Apimac has introduced Encrypt Mail 1.0, their new email encryption solution for Mac OS X. Perfect for both personal and business use, Encrypt Mail is an easy-to-use client for sending encrypted emails and/or encrypted attachments. Mac based recipients will receive a DMG password protected file. Windows and Linux based recipients will receive a ZIP password protected archive instead. All contacts are handled in a convenient list separated from Mac OS X’s built in Address Book.
  • Macgamestore.com today announced the availability of Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier for the Mac through its web site and digital download service, Mac Games Arcade. The game were developed by Sandlot Games. Navigate uncharted territories, build prosperous settlements and bring the dangerously elusive Copperhead Gang to justice in Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier.
  • Every month FMWebschool releases an exciting FileMaker newsletter to over 8000 FileMaker enthusiasts. Each issue is chock full of free FileMaker sample files, how-to workshops and articles on how to grow your business. This month we include two free unlocked sample files that show you how to Twitter and Skype from FileMaker Pro. We also teach you how to use Twitter to grwo your business.   • MediaSilo and Elgato have announced direct upload capabilities from Elgato’s Turbo H.264 HD encoder to MediaSilo’s online video asset management system. The integration is available as part of Elgato’s latest software update for Turbo H.264 HD and provides a seamless bridge between desktop assets and MediaSilo’s online tools. MediaSilo offers online video review and approval, metadata creation, content management, web broadcast and Final Cut Server integration.

iPhone/iPod

  • Renkara Media Group has announced version 1.4 of AccelaStudy for the iPhone and iPod Touch, available in Spanish, French, Italian, German, and 12 other languages. Version 1.4 introduces a new way to study called Spaced Repetition which helps a user spend more time studying new and unfamiliar words and less time on words already mastered. As the user studies, AccelaStudy tracks the user’s progress and optimizes the study session automatically.
  • Kerlmax today announced an update to Austin Traffic 2.0, the premier mobile traffic tool for Austin, Texas. Austin Traffic is a tool to give you information about current traffic conditions on roadways in the Austin area. Over thirty Austin thoroughfares are currently supported and selectable. Version 2.0 of the iPhone application adds map links, animated traffic camera images, incident detail views, and improved customization of the settings.
