  • GiantCrayon Games has released GiantCrayon SudokuArcade, the first and only game to combine falling blocks, a ticking clock and the brain puzzles of Sudoku. SudokuArcade takes advantage of a motion sensor in newer MacBook laptops. Users can move the falling Sudoku blocks by lifting their Mac notebooks to the left, the right, forwards and backwards. This allows users to play in 3-D.
  • Sonoma Wire Works announces RiffRumble “Monster” song contest for RiffWorks recording software users. Contestants worldwide will use RiffWorks to record songs on their own, or team up into virtual bands of two to four musicians using the free online collaboration features in RiffWorks, and compete for $5600 in prizes. The celebrity guest judge is Todd Rundgren, who used RiffWorks to record his latest CD, Arena.
  • Nuclear Nova Software is proud to introduce GL Golf Lite, A free version of their award winning 3D golfing game for iPhone and iPod Touch. By leveraging the iPhone’s unique abilities and interface, this golf game offers a realistic physics system and smooth, fluid graphics for compelling game-play. GL Golf Lite is free and offers an ad supported four hole course.
  • The Dream Apps has announce TaskMagic 1.0, their task management utility for Mac OS X. TaskMagic 1.0 is a brand new application that allows users to manage things that need to get done, save time and be more effective and organized when attempting projects. It does this in a number of ways, firstly with it’s unique “Grouping” technology. That allows you to group and sort your tasks into either topic related groups, difficulty related groups or timeframe related groups.
  • Alta Vida LLC has announced Babelingo 1.3, their language translation utility for iPhone and iPod Touch. Containing more than 300 useful phrases in 10 languages, Babelingo is an easy-to-use phrase book communicator, allowing anyone to show a professionally translated phrase to a foreign language audience. Phrases are displayed in a large and beautifully rendered script, easily read from a distance. Version 1.3 includes professionally translated phrases in the Portuguese language.
  • Apple enthusiast Brian Floe is delighted to introduce My Apple Space, a very popular social networking website for Apple enthusiasts. My Apple Space is aimed at providing Apple users around the globe a place to connect, cultivate relationships, build a strong sense of community and designed to be the ultimate switcher machine on the internet. Membership to My Apple Space is free.
  • baKno, a game development studio offering fun and challenging online games for all ages and every computer, has announced the release of Xplorer for Mac and Windows on its website. Xplorer is a visually rich game in which the player navigates around the globe through a series of ten timed adventures. The hide-and-seek game features an original music score by composer Edward M. Melendez, producing captivating soundscapes to match the vibrant graphic quality.
  • Addison-Wesley, a division of Pearson Education, is releasing the iPhone Developer’s Cookbook, providing Apple developers with information on how to build iPhone applications using the recently-released SDK.
  • Agile Web Solutions has announced the release of 1Password 2.9, which makes it simple to keep passwords in sync across all your Macs. Before this release, this was only possible using MobileMe. Now, many additional sync options are available. This update is free to all paid 1Password customers. 1Password is the most popular password manager for Mac OS X and iPhone.
