  • Moblyng, the leader in mobile social media, announced today the launch of its slideshow application for the Apple iPhone. This marks the first iPhone slideshow application that allows users to create and share slideshows for display on iPhones, other smartphones and social media sites.
  • Macvide has announced ScreenCap 1.9, their video to Flash conversion utility for Mac OS X. Developed specifically for Mac users, ScreenCap allows video recording, single screenshot or timed screenshot series capturing from your Mac. All of the most popular video and image formats are supported: iPod mp4, 3gp, QuickTime MOV, Adobe Flash SWF and FLV, jpeg, png, tiff, bmp.
  • The SalemPirates have announced the release of their third iPhone/iPod Touch game, Cypher. The SalemPirates’ web site describes it as…“Yarrr, Cypher tis a fun word puzzle game where you race against the clock to decode the text and twist it into a six letter word.
  • Fusion, a worldwide leader in car audio electronics, announced today the world’s first car audio receiver featuring true Apple iPod integration and internal docking, the CA-IP500. Offering innovative docking and charging inside the head unit, the new receiver eliminates installation hassles and the need for cables, while providing a stable and secure in-vehicle iPod location for the ultimate in flexibility and music accessibility. Unlike other head units on the market, the Fusion receiver mirrors the iPod user interface to ensure simple, familiar control of the iPod directly from the head unit. The Fusion CA-IP500 iPod receiver solution offers music enthusiasts the latest in audio technology, the ultimate in convenience and an enhanced overall audio experience.
  • Aero Quartet has released Treasured, an app for the Mac that is able to diagnose and preview corrupt movie files. Treasured is the perfect complement to the Movie Repair Service unveiled last year: Video Professionals can now check whether a corrupt file still contains the precious footage and is repairable, directly on their computer and in a few minutes.
  • Macgamestore today announced the release of Righteous Kill for the Macintosh. Developed by Merscom, Inc, Righteous Kill is a downloadable casual game based on the major theatrical movie released in September. It’s a man hunt for a vigilante on a killing spree through 16 locations containing over a thousand hidden objects. Inspired by the motion picture film, Righteous Kill features clips from the movie and 15 animated levels.
  • Smule’s new audio engine allows real-time audio processing on the iPhone. Sonic Vox is latest example of this new audio platform, available now in the App Store today for $0.99. Sonic Vox shifts and contorts your voice while you are talking, turning the iPhone into a magical Microphone of sorts.
  • PDO has shipped its TopSkins for 4th generation iPod Nano and 2nd generation iPod Touch. The TopSkin for 2nd generation iPod Touch features comprehensive protection, literally covering the entire device except for the screen and sensor. The dock connector and earphone jack are covered by protective flaps while the home, power, and volume buttons are covered by a play-thru design. The TopSkin edges feature a micro-texture pattern for additional grip. A full frontal film screen protector and lanyard will be included with each TopSkin. The TopSkin for 4th generation iPod Nano features cut-outs for the screen, clickwheel, and bottom. Each package will include a lanyard, film screen protector, and film clickwheel protector.
  • Heileen, developed by Tycoon Games, is a historical-fiction visual novel game with multiple endings. The game tells the tale of a young girl from the 17th Century, Heileen. Her merchant uncle leaving her no choice, she undertakes a voyage to the New World. She’ll meet old friends, like her childhood friend Marie, and get the chance to befriend other people, like John, the young, dashing sailor, Marco, the ship’s cook, and Lora, the shameless mistress accompanying her uncle on the voyage.
  • Bare Bones Software has announced the release and immediate availability of BBEdit 9.0.2, an update to its professional strength HTML and text editor. The BBEdit 9.0.2 update is a maintenance release that fixes reported issues and adds several minor enhancements and other refinements to this award-winning HTML and text editor.
