  • Techno-Grafik and Zisser Software have announced iTaskX 2.5, which will provide Mac OS X users a powerful, cost-effective and MS Project compatible project management solution. iTaskX 2.5 is not only for professional project managers who want to plan, calculate and control their projects with iTaskX, it’s also for newcomers in the field of project-management wanting to present their schedules fast and impressively.
  • Deadbeat Software has announced the immediate availability of The Tagger 1.0, an MP3 and AAC tag editor for Mac OS X. The Tagger supports batch editing of audio files and supports a wider range of ID3 tags than iTunes and other editors, making it possible to catalog one’s music with more information than ever before. Files are selected for editing using the built-in file browser and changes are saved instantly.
  • Stone Design has shipped another update to Twittelator Pro, a feature packed native iPhone Twitter client. With many expert features including multiple accounts, Trending Topics, and Nearby Search for Tweeters, Twittelator Pro is the culmination of the expanding Twittelator customer base’s wishes, desires and bug fixes.
  • AQUARIUS software has cut the price for its software Playwatch by almost 50%. The full version is now only $6.99 instead of $13.20. The reduction is valid during October 2008. Playwatch is a popular, unobtrusive, yet powerful controller for iTunes. It sits on the menu bar, providing artist, album and other iTunes information as a ticker.
  • Synium Software has released the final version of their screencapturing software Screenium 1.0. This release now brings many improvements over the Public Beta version: the user interface and overall functionality have been greatly enhanced and are highly intuitive. This final version 1.0 of Screenium is a full-bred screencasting application for Mac OS X (“Tiger” and “Leopard”) and has already received a lot of acclaim from users worldwide.
  • ProteMac has announced ProteMac Meter 1.1, their network Activity monitor and network traffic logger utility for Mac OS X. With a focus on ease-of-use, ProteMac Meter allows control network activity for each application on your Mac, showing you exactly what was transmitted and to where. The capability to audit what flows in and out of every piece of software is critical for security aware users. ProteMac Meter provides real-time network processes (applications and services) monitoring and shows the history of every network activity.
  • IT Professional book publisher Apress, Inc., today announces the acquisition of the rights to best-selling titles Learn C on the Macintosh and Learn Objective-C on the Macintosh from SpiderWorks, LLC. The deal will see author and SpiderWorks CEO Dave Mark reshaping the acquired titles to become part of a fresh, new-look Mac development book series for Apress.
  • EveryTrail is one of the first iPhone apps that lets you record your hikes, runs, bike rides or walks through a city and take geotagged photos along the way. And it automatically creates a slideshow at www.everytrail.com.
  • Dare to be Creative today announced the release of iArchiver 1.4, an archiving and file compression utility for Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard. iArchiver is a utility application that creates, opens and converts archives using drag and drop.
