  • App Cubby is proud to introduce Gas Cubby 1.0, their gas mileage and vehicle maintenance app for the iPhone and iPod Touch.   • app4mac has released CheckUp 1.2.1, a new update to the innovative tool that allows you to check the health and monitor the behavior of a Mac computer. Built from the ground up with Mac OS X technologies, CheckUp features an amazing user interface. CheckUp is first designed to monitor the usage of CPU, Memory, Disk Drives and Network Adapters. CheckUp works with any Mac with a PowerPC G4, G5 or Intel Processor. Version 2.0 of the application is coming soon.
  • Ecosol Solar Technologies Inc., a leader in intelligent energy storage and solutions, has unveiled the state of the art Powerstick V2, a USB-powered portable charger for mobile devices. The Powerstick is both a backup power source for electronics (such as cell phones, Blackberries, iPods, digital cameras, Bluetooth headsets, the new 3G iPhones) and a universal charger for all these devices.
  • Maintain has announced the release of Cocktail 4.2 (Tiger Edition). Version 4.2 adds new features, fixes, optimizations and other improvements. Cocktail is an award winning general purpose utility for Mac OS X. It is a smooth and powerful digital toolset with a variety of practical features that simplifies the use of advanced UNIX functions.
  • Mobicip offers true web content filtering as a service for mobile and gaming platforms, including iPhone. The Mobicip service will be supported through a native application. The current solution provided for parents is to disable Safari, eliminating the child’s ability to browse the internet on their device. The Mobicip solution will reassure parents that their child’s device is protected from inappropriate material while the child will have an alternative to safely browse the internet.
  • The newest series of MIMOBOT designer USB flash drives takes design studio Mimoco in a decidedly new direction. Known for their artistic MIMOBOT line of character-based flash drives, the studio has put their flagship brand squarely into the hands of their fans, thanks to the Vimobot Design Contest, a unique competition which tapped the creative power of the MIMOBOT community. The six winning designs are now available in the form of the VDC MIMOBOT Series of USB flash drives in 1GB ($24.95) to 8GB ($79.95) capacities.
