Macintosh

  • Feral Interactive has announced it will ship the Mac version of the fast-paced action adventure title LEGO BATMAN: The Videogame on Thursday, April 9, 2009. Developed by TT Games, the title brings the world of DC Comics’ Caped Crusader to life in an entirely new way. Players can explore a richly interactive LEGO Gotham City as Batman and Robin, capturing infamous villains—and even take control of the villains themselves.
  • MacEase has released iPrint 2.0. iPrint adds a powerful new feature to OS X, enabling users to instantly and easily print just the data they select in any program by using either a simple keyboard shortcut or its new popup Dock menu. iPrint both boosts users’ productivity and saves them a significant amount of money by reducing the amount of ink, toner, and paper that’s used. Additionally, iPrint works in the background, requires no learning curve, and takes up no space on users’ Desktops.
  • LANrev LP has announced the immediate availability of LANrev 5.1, an update to their industry-leading systems lifecycle management suite for Mac OS X and Windows. Affordable and easy-to-use, LANrev enables the management of enterprise systems by automating patch and software distribution, asset inventory, eco-friendly power management, license monitoring and security configuration.
  • publicspace.net announces the availability of version 1.6.7 of The Big Mean Folder Machine. The new version adds improved performance when reading the timestamps embedded in digital camera photos. iPhone/iPod

  • The Cinemizer Plus, which launches in May, will be the first video eyewear to get the “Works with iPhone” approval from Apple. Designed to work with the iPod, the original Cinemizer bore the “Made for iPod” approval from Apple. Further compliance with Apple requirements means that the new model gains the “Works with iPhone” approval in addition to the “Made for iPod” compliance.
  • MicroKart, a new 3D racing game on the iTunes App Store, has climbed the charts, and is now ranked by Apple as the #56 free gaming app available. Since hitting the store on Saturday, March 21, 2009, MicroKart has had over 20,000 downloads in 3 days. MicroKart, built using the Unity Gaming Engine, combines beautiful graphics and engaging game-play as you race a toy car around the table and the living room floor.
  • QD Ideas has announced the third update to their popular Medical Abbreviations application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This update increases the number of abbreviations to over 14,000. Medical Abbreviations allows users to search for abbreviations and their associated terms, save abbreviations to a favorites list for easy access, and access Wikipedia definitions and Google search results for individual terms.
