Macintosh

  • Other World Computing (OWC®) has announced the first available third party 1066MHz DDR3 ECC memory upgrades up to 32GB for the new Mac Pro “Nehalem” models announced last week by Apple. OWC Memory Upgrades offer new Mac Pro users savings of up to $1,620 on same size upgrades, as well as upgrade options not offered by the factory. Internal hard drive upgrades are also available from OWC with savings of up to $540 versus same size factory installed upgrades.
  • Dare to be Creative today announced that users can build their own software bundles on Macsnack, the bundle outlet site for its Mac OS X applications. The site offers savings up to $68 on a broad range of applications covering disk cleaning, recipe management, file compression, image editing, note-taking and file renaming.

iPhone/iPod

  • Appliya, Inc., has just launched two new applications in their Evangelion Series. Now iPhone and iPod Touch users can enjoy a calendar app that features exclusive art from the Rebuild of Evangelion films, along with a challenging puzzle game.
  • Scosche Industries, an award-winning innovator of mobile electronics and iPod accessories, today announced that it is developing breakthrough earphones with integrated controls for the new third generation iPod shuffle with Apple’s new VoiceOver feature.
