  • 360Works, a leading FileMaker product developer, is releasing a new version of its ScriptMaster tool at the 2008 FileMaker Developers Conference in Phoenix, AZ this week. A completely free, modular plugin for FileMaker, ScriptMaster allows developers to use Java code even without Java expertise.
  • 360Works, a leading FileMaker product developer, will launch a new version of its signature SuperContainer tool at the 2008 FileMaker Developers Conference in Phoenix, AZ this week. Industry respected since its original release in 2006, SuperContainer is an essential tool for managing documents and images in FileMaker Pro, functioning equally well on the web or FileMaker Pro.
  • Information Appliance Associates, creators of industry-leading mobile connectivity solutions, announces the release of the PocketMac RingtoneStudio for BlackBerry, the first and only Macintosh tool that gives BlackBerry users the power to convert almost any media file into a ringtone.
  • Doseido Software has announced the first release of Headline, their next-generation news reader for Mac OS X Leopard. Combining a sleek, clean interface with a powerful user experience, Headline is designed to make catching up with the latest blog posts, articles and news feeds quick and more enjoyable. View articles in Headline directly or via Safari as well as play podcasts and videocasts on the fly.
  • Stairways Software today released Keyboard Maestro version 3.3, adding a Status Menu and Status Menu triggered macros, enable/disable for actions, Fast User Switch action, Cut/Copy/Paste/Duplicate for macros, triggers and actions, and optionally persistent clipboard history.
  • Macgamestore and Pocketwatch Games would like to announce the release of Venture Arctic for the Macintosh. Polar bears, wolves, and more need your help in this ecosystem sim game. Unlike other Tycoon Games, there are no people in Venture Arctic. You won’t have to build hot dog stands, hire janitors, or balance your checkbook. Build your ecosystem however you want to! Use wind to blow the smells of a beached whale to a starving wolverine or control your caribou population by creating a lemming explosion. Nature is at your command.
  • Virtual Programming Ltd (VP) recently signed an agreement with Hendrickson Software Components (HSC) to port their best selling game Europa Universalis to the iPhone. Europa Universalis delves deeply into the areas of exploration, trade, warfare and diplomacy. The game will be ported to iPhone using the new iPhone SDK, for developing applications that run on iPhone and iPod touch.
  • Workamajig, the leading worldwide software program for ad agencies and others in the creative and design industries, has released version 10.0.0.5 of its project management software, supporting custom Flash widgets, along with updates for Apple’s latest Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4. The upgrade, follows the huge May update of the integrated Ad Agency system which converted from Creative Manager Pro to Workamajig, and included a major foundation upgrade to its Ad Agency management software, addressing interface improvements based on months of research, client interviews and user feedback.
  • Shiny Development Ltd. has announced Speakapedia 1.0, their Wikipedia podcasting utility for Mac OS X Leopard. Speakapedia is a unique tool which converts Wikipedia articles into spoken word tracks in iTunes. This enables users to listen to any Wikipedia article on the Mac, iPod or iPhone
  • Inspiring Applications, Inc. has announced the release of Yuma, a development tool that enables BASIC programmers to write web software that runs on any major server platform. Yuma users can build dynamic web sites using a readable, object-oriented language similar to VB.NET and REALbasic. Yuma testers have found it to result in faster, more efficient web development than the alternatives they had been using, and find the resulting applications to run very fast too.
  • Snarb.tk today announced the immediate availability of Cover Stream 2.2, a major update to their unrivaled iTunes controller that extends iTunes Cover Flow to the desktop. The new version adds Jukebox mode, mouseover desktop controls, integrated lyrics support, a daemon launcher and plenty of options to customize application behavior and appearance. The new version also resolves a number of bugs in earlier releases and is a recommended update for all users.
