Macintosh

  • Cynical Peak Software has announced the release of Rivet 2.0.1. Rivet enables users to stream video, music, and photos from Mac OS X to an Xbox 360 or PS3 over their home network. Users can now easily enjoy all of their media on their big screen TV from the comfort of their living room. Version 2.0.1 brings French localization, additional video formats for the PS3, and bug and performance improvements.
  • Fanurio Time Tracking SRL has just released Fanurio version 2.0, a time tracking and billing software application, highly appreciated by freelancers for its intuitive interface, flexible timer and ability to produce detailed invoices. Fanurio has lots of features for billing contracted work. It can record services and expenses, round time, apply discounts, handle subcontracted work, use multiple currencies, apply taxes, record partial payments and many more.
  • Tweakersoft today released version 1.4.11 of VectorDesigner, its innovative and award-winning vector drawing software for the Mac. VectorDesigner features a wide assortment of tools, including smart shapes, rectangles, ovals, rounded rectangles, polygons, stars, bezier creation and editing, as well as raster to bezier conversion. Version 1.4.11 improves the performances on both Intel and PowerPC processors,  add compatibility with Safari 4.0 beta and improves SVG import.
  • Zevrix Solutions announces the release of BatchOutput 3.5, a new version of its popular solution to automate printing and exporting from Adobe InDesign. The new version adds the ability to automate export of InDesign CS4 documents to the InDesign Interchange file format (INX). With BatchOutput 3.5, users can repurpose multiple InDesign documents to open them with earlier versions with just a click of a button instead of opening and exporting each document manually.

iPhone

  • Portable Arts has released version 1.0 of 2000+ Sounds, an iPhone/iPod Touch Sound Machine. This new sound app has over 2000 sounds and can loop, delay, randomize, or even remember favorite users sounds for later play. A built in search engine makes it easy to locate the exact sound your looking for. In addition, users can add sounds to a favorites list making it much easier to locate the same sounds for later play.
  • Izatt International has announced the next course in its series of iPhone Training: a new Objective-C Course to be held March 13-14, 2009 at the Noah Building in Lindon, UT. For those wanting to enter the world of iPhone development, Objective-C is the key. This course is designed for those with object-oriented programming experience, but little or none with Objective-C. The course is two hours on a Friday evening, followed by a full Saturday.
  • Mobui Corporation has announced the launch of Mobui Audience Chat, a mobile group chat product that is the first chat application made specifically for television broadcasters and studios. Mobui Audience Chat enables television audiences to interact with the shows they are viewing by posting opinions, comments, or questions in chat rooms using their mobile phone.
  • Signal Patterns has announced the release of their new Personality iPhone app. The Personality app is the most detailed, psychology-based app available for the iPhone. While the survey is fun, there is a great deal of research behind it, done by Signal Patterns’ team of scientists and psychologists.
  • Xumii, the mobile social address book that makes it easy to stay connected to all of your friends all of the time, has released a free application for the Apple iPhone. Xumii combines iPhone contacts with friends from Facebook, MySpace, imeem, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, MSN and Flickr.  With Xumii, people can see everyone’s status in one place and chat and share photos with friends across and between different networks.  They can also update their own status once for all their communities.
  • Following a successful private trial, ZumoDrive became available to the public on the same day its “Supersize Me” iPhone application appeared on the Apple App Store. Now anyone can join the over 10,000 people who have supersized their netbooks, iPhones, Macs and PCs with ZumoDrive. Never again will consumers have to choose what to put on their 8-GB iPhones, 16-GB netbooks or other space-constrained devices.
