  • Proporta like to give the big guy a helping hand at Christmas, and this year is no exception. Throughout December they’re sending out a prize every day—from iPods to cable tidies. All you have to do is order from www.proporta.com to be in with a chance of winning.
  • Flying Mac has announced that FarFinder and Webjimbo—their Macintosh remote access products—went on sale today. FarFinder makes a Mac’s files accessible anywhere on the internet, either by web browser or iPhone. Webjimbo allows users to access and edit their Yojimbo data, by browser and iPhone. Family licence bundles are also discounted.
  • TuneUp, a popular iTunes plug-in for Windows, arrived today for Apple users just in time for the holidays. Now iTunes users can automatically fix their mislabeled song information and find missing cover art without having to leave the familiar iTunes interface. By providing correct song information and offering a complementary suite of features, TuneUp empowers users to get the most out of their music collections.
  • Decho Corporation, an EMC Company, today announced the general availability of the MozyPro for Mac online backup service. Tailored for businesses using Mac desktops, notebooks and servers, MozyPro for Mac provides simple, automatic and secure online backup of critical business information, protecting against hard drive failure, computer loss or theft, and natural disaster.
  • Arten Science has announced the first release of DataClean. DataClean is a Cross Platform Utility designed to make it straightforward to “clean” large amounts of data. Data can be imported from a CSV or TAB delimited file, modified (any column, any row) and then saved back in several different formats including native Excel (XLS), TAB Delimited and Comma Separated. You can also save the modified file using your own Custom Delimiter.
  • The DVD for Welcome to Macintosh - The documentary for the rest of us will contain a DRM Free digital bonus version of the movie included on the disc. The DRM Free version adds to the over 3 hours of extras, including extended interviews, a making of featurette, trailers, a photo journal, and more. Welcome to Macintosh explores the history, culture and worldwide impact of Apple Inc. and the Macintosh. The fully loaded DVD is available now.
