  • Amuse, Inc., has announced Serene Saver Pro 3.11, an update to their highly popular video desktop and screen saver utility for Mac OS X. Serene Saver Pro replaces the standard still desktop to which Mac users are accustomed, with a gorgeous video desktop that plays high-definition movies of the users choice.
  • Ohanaware, a company specializing in photo editing software, has announced the immediate availability of an update to their flagship product Funtastic Photos. Funtastic Photos is an easy to use photo editor for the Macintosh platform. This update (free to existing customer) features over 20 improvements to Funtastic Photos and strengthens Ohanaware’s commitment to making Funtastic Photos one of the best photo editors available.
  • Yazsoft has released a major new update to ShareTool. Developed for Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, ShareTool lets you connect to all of the Bonjour services on your home or office network from anywhere in the world securely over a 100% SSH encrypted connection. This includes iTunes Music Sharing, Screen Sharing, File Sharing, printing, and much more. No configuration. No complication. No server or technical skills required. Just a mouse click. ShareTool also works with VPN connections. For anyone that’s been itching to get Bonjour working over VPN, ShareTool is for you!
  • Yazsoft has announced the immediate availability of Speed Download 5.1. Developed exclusively for Mac OS X, Speed Download is an easy to use, powerful and reliable download manager. Speed Download sets a higher standard for download manager innovation, and is expressly designed to be a central, unified hub for almost all downloading and file transfer activities.
  • Rainer Brockerhoff has announced version 1.0 of Klicko, a small freeware utility that blocks undesired click-through in application windows. Klicko is a simple Cocoa application. It doesn’t hack the system, other applications, inject code or do anything magic. Just run it, and the Classic behavior will be back: you must first click anywhere inside a background to bring it to the front.
  • KavaSoft has announced KavaMovies 1.1, the Mac movie database. KavaMovies lets you organize the movies you’ve seen, the movies you want to see, and the movies in your collection. It connects to the internet and downloads tons of information about each of your movies in realtime.
  • Code by Kevin has released QuickWho 1.0, a tool that can help users to find out more about who registered a particular Internet domain name. QuickWho provides a handy graphical interface to the Unix “whois” command-line utility, which is used to find out more about who registered a particular Internet domain name.
  • Boinx Software has announced the release of Mouseposé 3.1, the essential mouse pointer highlighting tool for everyone doing presentations, screencasts or demos. When activated, it dims the screen and shines a spotlight on the area around the mouse pointer, easily guiding the audiance’s attention to an area of interest. The new version adds a new filter option for displaying keystrokes and improves stability and performance on startup.
  • Tellini has announced Wiz Solitaire 1.36. Wiz Solitaire is a collection of several classic card games (Klondike, FreeCell, Spider…) with the possibility to create and use beautiful decks with your favorite pictures. Wiz Solitaire supports different deck formats allowing you to choose between thousands of available card sets. You can also easily create your own decks with the included Deck Editor.
  • SeedCode LLC has announced SeedCode Hierarchy, their template which allows FileMaker developers to add hierarchies, trees, and outline views to their layouts. Better than Form or List view, hierarchies let you work with multiple tables in the same place, simplifying your navigation so you don’t have to bounce from layout to layout.
  • Nuclear Nova Software has announced Liquid Defense, their fourth game for the Mac. Liquid Defense is a unique puzzle game where you must eliminate all of the incoming water, gas and oil. Each of the 28 levels is carefully designed to require innovative solutions while managing limited resources.
