  • USB Fever has released the iPhone 3G SIM Unlock Card, iPhone/iPod Composite AV Cables, and iPhone 3G SIM Eject Tool.
  • Lab49, Inc., a technology consulting firm that builds advanced solutions for the financial services industry, today announced it has begun developing applications for the Apple iPhone 2.0 platform for buy-side and sell-side financial institutions.
  • Flickbook is a new application to create animations on the iPhone and iPod touch. Available today for $4.99 from the App Store, Flickbook presents a simple and polished experience that makes creating dazzling animations fun and easy. Flickbook represents the latest collaboration between designer Ollie Wagner and programmer Geoff Pado.
  • Wonder Warp Software has released an iPhone version of its popular Mac puzzle game Otis. The object of the game is to remove all the blocks from a board by clicking on groups of blocks with the same color. More points are awarded for clearing more blocks at once, but only through careful maneuvering can the player clear the entire board and win the game.
  • Premier provider of high-quality stands for Apple’s MacBook Pro and MacBook computers, Fins-Up, LLC, today announced the availability of the FIN. Designed and manufactured to exacting standards exclusively for Apple’s MacBook family of laptop computers, the FIN is constructed from durable 100% aircraft-grade aluminum.   • Supernova 2: Spacewar is a space war game combined with a resource macromanagement simulation from Tycoon Games. Just two months after the first version, Tycoon Games has released a major game update.
  • publicspace.net has announced the immediate availability of the first public beta of the forthcoming A Better Finder Rename 8. A Better Finder Rename has long been the most comprehensive file renaming solution for the Macintosh. The beta release introduces a new single window user interface and an industrial strength renaming engine along with dozens of minor refinements.
  • MildMannered Industries has announced Baseline 1.3.2, an update to their disk usage utility for Mac OS X. Baseline is a disk sizing utility that allows users to see at-a-glance exactly how much disk space has been used. As well as showing how much disk space each file or folder takes up, Baseline allows users to compare their hard disk against previous scans to show what has changed, and to quickly detect duplicate files.
  • Final Cut Pro user groups from around the world are planning to gather Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Amsterdam at the Culture Park Westergasfabriek, Gashouder as part of IBC 2008 week. This “SuperMeet” is expected to be the largest gathering of FCP users and digital filmmakers on the planet.
