Macintosh and iPhone software updates and announcements for August 11, 2008:

• Award-winning Internet filtering and parental control software vendor, ContentWatch, today announced the release of Net Nanny for Mac. With the introduction of an Apple Computer-compatible product, Net Nanny is now able to protect both Windows and Mac users.

• St. Clair Software has announced the release of Default Folder X 4.0.8, which now tracks folders containing the files you drag onto applications in the Dock. This release also corrects problems that users have reported with Bias Peak and QuickBooks Pro.
