For those of you who missed out on the downloadable MacHeist Bundle, MacHeist recently announced that a hard-copy version will be for sale soon. At MacHeist.com, there is a teaser video, showing a vault with the Bundle in it getting robbed, and a line at the end that tells you to buy it before the time runs out. Below are more info on some of the apps with which I have had personal experience:
Cover Sutra: When paired with iTunes, Cover Sutra acts as a control for your music from the Desktop. You can customize its great UI to your preferences, making this a good looking, though fairly pointless, app all the better.
Enigmo: An extremely addicting game (I know from experience), in which you must direct flows of water, oil and lava into their respective receptacles. The higher levels can get very hard and tedious.
ChaChing: A very basic finance managing application. I haven’t had much experience with it, but from what I’ve heard, its easy to use, but definitely no replacement for QuickBooks or Quicken.
Awaken: An Alarm Clock for you Mac. Provides many customizable sounds and features, like making the alarm sounds on specific dates, and even recognize time changes.
xSlimmer: A great little app for those lacking large amounts of space on their hard drive. xSlimmer will automatically slim all files and apps, increasing free space by a fair amount. With about 40 gigabytes of info on my hard drive at the time, xSlimmer freed up about 5 gigabytes of space.
Wallet: Wallet is a lockable and encripted database in which you can securely store passwords, credit card numbers, and other personal information. Also has a random password generator.
Other apps include DEVONThink Personal, iClip, Overflow, Writeroom, Bugdom 2, and Nanosaur 2. Overall, the apps are good, but not amazing. Go ahead and buy ti if you like, but should you choose not to, you’re not missing much. The bundle costs $49.
