MacBook Air update addresses video, core idling

by Adam Fisher-Cox on Aug 24, 2008 at 09:38 PM

MacBook Air
Apple has released a new update for MacBook Air users only. MacBook Air Update 1.0 is recommended for all MacBook Air users, and addresses video and core idling.

Reports coming in seem to indicate that video playback is much improved on the MacBook Air now, and that it is no longer as processor intensive, and thus does not heat up as much.

Before installing the update, it is important to remove any software you have on your computer that modifies the processor’s frequency, voltage, or any other characteristics in any way. They are not supported and will likely mess up the update, if not your computer.

The update weighs in at a mere 368 KB and is available now in Software Update or at the link below.
