MacBook Air paves its own path, creates new subcatergory of notebooks

According to InSight Media, Apple’s MacBook Air laptop is so innovative that it has somewhat created its own subcategory of notebooks. One of the chief reasons for this thought is the use of LED backlight display that is both good for the environment and helps save battery. InSight goes on to say that this backlight allows for more freedom when creating a product and can therefore help set that product apart from others of its kind. For example, this technology helped allow the MacBook Air to have such a thin form factor.
If InSight thinks this backlight use is so innovative, then it is good that Apple isn’t stopping soon. Apple is going great at not only using new technologies to make their products more “green,” but also using these technologies in an innovative way. It can be hard to keep both environmentalists and end users happy, but I can safely say that Apple is doing a great job.
