Mac OS X 10.4.11 coming soon

by Marvin Sum on Aug 20, 2007 at 02:11 PM

OS X 10.4

According to developers familiar with the matter, Apple has begun seeding the latest build of Mac OS X (aka 10.4.11 8S2144) for testing. Most agree that this should be the last major revision of Mac OS X Tiger, given that Leopard is due to ship in just 2 months time (assuming there are no more delays or hiccups).

Apple says that this latest iteration to Tiger is supposed to resolve an issue associated with ocassional hanging when shutting down. Other fixes include problems with the USB modem, modem driver, Core Audio, WebCore Editing, VPN and Rosetta. It has been almost 2 months since the last major release was issued, so expect this update sometime soon.
