Kevin Chang apparently fired for false reports

by Marvin Sum on Jul 15, 2007 at 08:43 PM

iPhone Nano

This is currently unconfirmed, but DealBreaker is claiming that Kevin Chang, a JP Morgan analyst who made false claims over the “iPhone Nano” has been fired. Chang used a single patent filing and several unconfirmed sources to arrive at his “iPhone Nano” conclusions.

Chang believed that Apple would sell between 30-40 million of these units by the end of 2007. Unfortunately, both the Mac and mainstream media picked up the story and blew it completely out of proportion. JP Morgan eventually retracted the report.

Wow. There are people out there who believe anything they read.
