Jonathan Ive has always been known to be a fantastic designer over at Apple, having won numerous awards for his creation of beautiful products. So, what else would you expect him to do for a friend’s birthday other than send him a huge iPod Nano (which is quite the contradiction in terms if you ask me). The iPod is actually pretty awesome looking, and is very similar (at least the part that the photo shows us) to the actual iPod Nano.

Sir Paul Smith, the man who receieved the present, stated on his blog:

On Friday 3rd July, I received a really lovely mad gift for my birthday (which is on the 5th) from Jonathan Ive and Jody who works with him at Apple - a perfect model of an Ipod but as you can see slightly bigger than usual. Jonny knows I like strange things; as the real thing gets smaller, he sends me a giant version!

I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t mind receiving something as cool as this for my birthday. Although the chances it has any function are very slim, it would still be very unique to have. Leave up to Jonathan Ive to design yet another awesome product.
