Looking for a powerful image editing solution but don’t want the hefty price tag? Well, Nolobe has just released a brand new image editor for your Mac, called Iris, which promises to do just that.

“Iris has been created for previously overlooked Mac owners who simply wanted an accessible and easy to use image program that provides professional results, without the professional price tag,” explained Matthew Drayton, founder and CEO of Nolobe.

Touted as “The ultimate image editor for Mac OS X,” Iris promises to provide a powerful, intuitive, easy-to-use solution for all of your image editing needs. Some of the main features of Iris include:

  • One Window image editing which eliminates messy and confusing palettes
  • Fully customizable paint settings, brushes and drawing tools
  • Powerful color correction
  • Support for a wide range of formats, including TIFF, PNG, JPEG, JPEG-2000, GIF, BMP, PICT, PSD, to name a few

You can download a trial of Iris completely free or purchase the program for just $79. Nolobe says that Iris runs “full speed on both Intel and PowerPC Macs.” Iris is exclusive to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
