Ashley Towns' tweetThe infamous 21-year-old Ashley Towns—known for the recent “Ikee” iPhone exploit/worm—has landed a legitimate job as an iPhone application developer at mogeneration, according to his personal Twitter account.

Ironically enough, mogeneration had actually posted about Towns’ worm (the first ever on the iPhone), and warned of its potential harm. Also, quite strangely, Towns hadn’t faced any criminal consequences for his undoubtedly illegal actions, and instead landed quite a good job. In case you didn’t know, mogeneration has developed some great iPhone apps, including Xumii and Moo Shake!.

Towns will likely be working out of mogeneration’s offices in Surry Hill, New South Wales as he lives just over an hour away in Wollongong. It’ll be nice to see what kind of apps the developer of the first ever iPhone worm will be creating at his new job.

Do you think Ashley Towns got what he deserved, or should he have seen misfortune for his actions instead? Leave your opinion in the comments!
