Just when we were beginning to savor the peace and quiet of the Sunday, the iPhone Dev Team finally announced that the iPhone/iPod Touch PwnageTool 2.0 is available for download. It comes in a sizable ZIP file that can be downloaded from the iPhone Dev Team’s blog, as well as two mirrors from BigBoss and the Hackint0sh forums.

What does it do? Why, it activates, jailbreaks, and unlocks first-gen iPhones, silly! You know, those awful one-year old ones that can only run on EDGE. The iPhone 3G won’t be getting any unlocking love any time soon, though the Dev team says they’re definitely working on it and will announce the release dates “if and when” it’s ready.
