Intel Menlow to be put to use in Apple UMPC?

by Alec Feld on Dec 24, 2007 at 08:07 PM

IntelBy now you’ve all probably heard enough about the slim ultra-portable Mac rumors. But I bet you haven’t heard a lot about the processor inside of it. Intel’s new portable Menlow processor just may be the answer. Although a tad large for a Newton-style device or a mobile phone, the chip is the perfect size for a tablet, or sub-notebook. The platform even supports WiFi and 3G, meaning the new device could support a data network as well. Hopefully Jobs will unveil a Menlow device at Macworld. Until then, it’s just another rumor.
