by Marvin Sum on Jun 18, 2007 at 06:00 PM

Mac OS X

According to AppleInsider, people familiar with the latest seed of Mac OS X 10.4.10 say that Apple’s forthcoming update to Tiger will offer greater benefits for those running Intel-based hardware. They also claim that Apple has requested that its developers test the Intel build more throughly.

The latest seed, labeled number 8R214 and 8R2214 for both PowerPC- and Intel-binaries respectively, contains updates to the software’s kernel, JavaScript core and OpenGL engines. They also contain improvements to imaging, specifically with RAW image support.

No word yet on when this update will be released; OS X 10.4.9 was released in March.
