iMovie HD 6 no longer available
Today, Apple officially released iLife ‘09, which includes iMovie ‘09. They also pulled their free download of iMovie HD for iLife ‘08 users. I guess it’s time to move on.
The last time Apple updated iMovie, they were met with much opposition from users over the radical redesign of the video editing tool. To keep users happy, they posted a free download of iMovie HD for all iLife ‘08 users. But it seems now that Apple is quietly saying “move on” to all of the users of the older version. If you already have iMovie HD, it will of course continue to work, but you won’t be able to download it from Apple any longer. So, if you’re holding tight to the old interface with a death grip, you’d better back it up.

Yes, but does iMovie ‘09 support HD? I haven’t yet seen anything that says it does.
